These are short-chain polymers of simple carbohydrates (fructose and sucrose) which do not behave like simple sugars in the body. They occur naturally in bananas, garlic, and certain other foods, and technically are a soluble fiber. FOS are effective sweeteners, being half as sweet as sucrose, yet are not absorbed and have minimal caloric value. They selectively support the proliferation of intestinal probiotics, especially the bifidobacteria.
Just one teaspoon of this formulation provides FOS equivalent to the content of 13 bananas! FOS is non-dairy.
Each bottle contains: FructoOligoSaccharides (FOS) 100 grams Available in bottles of 100 grams powder.
